Selected Civil War Photographs from American Memory at the Library of Congress. 1,118 images, many made under the supervision of Mathew B. Brady, include scenes of military personnel, preparations for battle, and battle after-effects. The collection also includes portraits of both Confederate and Union officers, and a selection of enlisted men.

A beautiful collection of 43 hand tinted photographs of enlisted men’s uniforms from the Civil War. From an 1866 2 volume set, bound for the Quatermaster General of the United States Army, presented online by the Army Quatermaster Museum.
