Charles le Maire, costume designer for theater and film. According to biographical details from the NYPL “Charles Le Maire designed costumes, with Mark Mooring, for the 1925 Greenwich Village Follies, having designed the costumes for the revue’s more famous rival, the Ziegfeld Follies, a year earlier. He began his design career for theater in the 1920’s and later worked in film, becoming the director of wardrobe at 20th Century Fox Studios from 1942-1960.”
